2:44 PM (6 hours ago)Obama appoints James Cole as deputy attorney generalfrom Fire Andrea Mitchell! by adminIn between all the golf and shaved ice, Obama used his congress recess appointment “skills” to appoint James Cole to be deputy attorney general. Yes, this is the same James Cole who wrote an op ed the eve of the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that equalated the 9/11 attacks to the drug trade, organized crime, rape, and child abuser. Cole also wrote (via Michelle Malkin):

“The acts of Sept. 11 were horrible, but so are these other things.”

Rep. Peter King of New York isn’t pleased. In fact he is fuming. According to The Hill, King, the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, has angrily denounced President Obama’s recess appointment of James Cole as deputy attorney general.

King called Cole’s appointment “absolutely shocking” and said it might be one of the worst appointments Obama will make during his presidency.

“I strongly oppose the recess appointment of James Cole to lead the national security team at the Department of Justice,” King said in a statement. “The appointment indicates that the Obama Administration continues to try to implement its dangerous policies of treating Islamic terrorism as a criminal matter.”
