On the Eve of Osama’s Death, Obama Forces Gay Propaganda on the Military

Before stealing the U.S. military’s glory for killing the world’s most wanted terrorist, Barack Obama instituted an indoctrination program forcing Christian servicemen to affirm the homosexual lifestyle or get out. Last Thursday, the Associated Press took a behind the scenes look at a reprogramming session conducted with Combat Logistics Regiment 17 of the the 1st Marine Logistics Group at Camp Pendleton:

Marine instructor Maj. Daryl Desimone stood before an auditorium filled with fatigue-clad troops, carrying an unequivocal message: It’s OK to disagree with letting gays serve openly in the military. It’s not OK to disobey orders.

…”It’s not really open to discussion,” Desimone said. “Nobody’s trying to change your mind.”

But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that unless servicemen want to head to the stockade, it is not OK to disagree with gays serving openly in the military, or to morally object to homosexuality at all. The course the Obama administration’s political leadership forced upon Maj. Desimone seems clearly designed to change the men’s minds about the morality of same-sex relationships.

In small group discussions, Marines are being asked to consider their reactions to a wide range of scenarios, from seeing a member “hanging around” a gay bar to hearing locker-room jokes from others who refuse to shower in front of gays.

There is nothing wrong with “hanging around” a gay bar, the training materials state.

The officer who witnesses the loud locker-room banter aimed at gays and lesbians should remind the Marines any discrimination or harassment is inappropriate.

If a Marine spots two men in his battalion kissing off-duty at a shopping mall, he should react as if he were seeing a man and woman, according to the training materials. (Emphases added.)

According to the AP, all branches of the military will have finished this training by the end of this summer. This author reported in February that similar classes were conducted via teleconference for soldiers in Afghanistan’s Helmand and Nimroz provinces, where the fighting is the heaviest.

Despite the story’s disclaimer, the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal propaganda consists of values-changing materials designed to transform the overwhelmingly conservative, Christian, and Southern institution into a wing of the gay rights movement.

The dangers of open homosexuality in the armed services alone should give the course’s instructors pause. Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis (U.S. Army, Ret.), who studied the issue for the Department of Defense in 1993, said all the commission’s objections to the practice — including lack of unit cohesion, threat of sexual blackmail, and homosexual nepotism — remain “just as valid today.” A Military Times poll taken in December 2008 found that 24 percent of enlisted servicemen would leave the military or consider leaving if the political authorities repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” with 10 percent saying they would definitely resign. Recently retired Marine Corps. Commandant Gen. James Conway, the branch’s highest-ranking official, polled his troops and found “an overwhelming majority [of Marines] would like not to be roomed with a person that is openly homosexual.”

However, the president is looking at a different set of polling data. A poll commissioned last July by the Military Culture Commission found 52 percent of Democrats want to punish military men who oppose open homosexuality in the military. Homosexuals are a key Democratic constituency who supported Obama over McCain by nearly three-to-one (70 percent to 27 percent, according to CNN’s exit polls). The military, on the other hand, historically votes Republican.

With these facts in mind, it seems perverse that it is not only Democrats who support the queering of the military. Some “national security conservatives” (most notably Charles Krauthammer) support open homosexuality in the services and equate traditional morality with “prejudice.”

No word on how placing open homosexuals into Kandahar, Peshawar, or Islamabad will help the military win Muslim hearts and minds.

As brave warriors forged by the traditional military culture wage war on al-Qaeda, Obama is using the military to wage war — against traditional morality, Christian sexual teachings, and the military.
