Obama promised that “we will spare no effort” to figure out “how this outrageous attack took place.”
“We don’t have all the information yet,” he told reporters. “You will be fully briefed as we get more information.” He added that the attack is a “stark reminder” of the “extraordinary sacrifices” made by the members of the military.

Uka was identified as Kosovan. Albania has one of the largest Kosovan populations on earth. Now look closely at the necklace around Uka’s neck: It is that of the Albanian flag. (source)

A GUNMAN has fired shots at US military personnel on a bus outside Frankfurt airport, killing two people and wounding two before being taken into custody. … Authorities in Germany said that the alleged gunman was a 21-year-old originally from Muslim-majority Kosovo in southeastern Europe who was living in Frankfurt.
UPDATE
Arif Uka, a 21 year-old Muslim from Kosovo, was arrested after the shooting outside the airport’s Terminal 2. He was reportedly armed with an automatic weapon and a knife.
And:
The uncle said Arid Uka is a pious Muslim whose grandfather was a religious leader at a mosquein the village of Zhabar, near Mitrovica, Kosovo.
And:
The New York Times quoted a man whose office is near the site of the shooting who … said witnesses told him that the gunman first talked to the military personnel to find out who they were and thenopened fire, shouting “God is great” in Arabic.
And:
Another source told FOX the gunman was heard to yell “Allah Akbar!” – the Arabic phrase for ‘God is great’—before launching his assault.
