NYC MUSLIM SENTENCED TO 27 YEARS, CONVICTED OF CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER AND OTHER CHARGES IN THE CAUSE OF ISLAM

The hot news story is capitulation to the demands of the Hamas-tied groups like CAIR that are demanding that we disarm the NYPD of counter-terrorism tools which have kept NY, the most desirable target in the world for devout Muslims, safe for the past eleven years. Every week in the United States there is a jihadi plot thwarted or a Muslim arrested, indicted or convicted for jihad in the USA. But Obama says, "respect it."

Meanwhile, Rep. Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said that Gov. Chris Christie crossed a line when he mocked Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and acccused Christie of “trying to score cheap political points” instead of saving lives when he complained that the New York Police Department’s monitoring of Muslims across the state line was arrogant and secretive.

“It’s really disturbing and disappointing to have someone like Chris Christie join on this politically correct bandwagon,” King said on a WOR-AM radio program. “I wish Chris Christie was more concerned about keeping people alive than he is about trying to score cheap political points.”

In San Francisco, a proposal to require the San Francisco Police Department to adhere to local and state privacy laws while conducting federal counter-terrorism investigations was approved by a committee of the city's Board of Supervisors today.

The FBI, under a 2007 memorandum of understanding with the department, authorizes a variety of intelligence gathering activities not permitted under state or city laws, most notably the surveillance of someone without any suspicion of criminal activity or factual criminal predicate.
The legislation being put forward by Supervisor Jane Kim and five other co-sponsors calls on police Chief Greg Suhr and the Police Commission to amend or terminate the 2007 MOU, saying it conflicts with not just city and state privacy laws but also internal department policies.

A Chicago area Muslim leader says Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy has promised that his officers will not conduct the kind of surveillance of Muslims done by the New York Police Department.

Ahmed Rehab of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' Chicago office says he and representatives from the Jewish and immigrant communities met with McCarthy on Tuesday morning.

The good news is that these reckless and feckless city and state leaders are making Manhattan safer by making their cities a soft and easy target for Muslim attacks. Thank you.

NEW YORK — A New York City man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison in a failed attempt to join al-Qaida to avenge Muslim abuse
A judge sentenced Betim Kaziu (beh-TEEM’ ka-ZOO’) on Friday in federal court in Brooklyn. Prosecutors had sought a life sentence.

Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for the Brooklyn-born man convicted last year of traveling to the Middle East to avenge abuse of Muslims.
A jury found Kaziu guilty of conspiracy to provide material support to a terrorist organization. He also was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and other charges.
He eventually made his way to Kosovo, where he recorded what the government claimed was a farewell martyrdom video. He also bought a plane ticket to Pakistan but was captured before making the trip.
